I was born on the 12th of January 1963 at 11.47 in Wellington, Shropshire 52N43 002W31 - for those in the know...look here.
Here are a few brief details for the insatiable... Erm.... well: until I was 18 I lived in Shrewsbury where I infested Priory Boys Grammar School, wore oak leaf chaplets a lot and spent my lunchtimes wandering around old streets looking at old houses and forming a life long (so far) attachment to historical matters. That is sort of connected to the move in 1982 to Lancaster University to read Ancient History, Archaeology and Latin. Unfortunately that rather tied me to the Classics Department - which was devastated by thatcherite government inspired cuts. So I left the university in 1983, but lived fairly happily in Lancaster for another 5 years. During that time I became more politicised in many ways, joining the Liberal Party and engaging in lots of nefarious activity against the anti-gay administration of the time - here I am at Pride in 1987. In 1988, I moved to Barton on Humber to do a History and Politics Degree at Hull University - which was by far the most interesting and challenging academic work I have done.
Err.... what else - I graduated in 1992 and then there was a 10 month trip around the world via India, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. ...Eventually... I moved to Wandsworth in London on the 26th May 1996 and ended up doing phone banking for Nat West in Battersea. - which I hated with a rare passion... I'd much rather work for an ISP I thought and - lo and behold now I do. After working in Customer Services at Demon Internet in Finchley for two and a half years I moved to their Desktop Services Helpdesk which was much more to my tastes... until they outsourced it that is. As of 2004 supporting their accursed billing systems is my way of paying for frequent trips to the Republic of Siena.
