In April 2005 I imported an Aprilia Scarabeo 500 ABS++ from Italy. These bikes are not sold in the UK for some reason - which was unfortunate for me as they are just about the only motorbikes I actually like the look of. My first ever bike was a Scarabeo 125 (nicknamed The Snail in honour of my adopted contrada in Siena) which lasted me three and a bit years before the engine broke.Importing it was quite an adventure, and not something I'd do again in a hurry. One day I'll write up the experience in case it's of help to someone else in a similar situation. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the Megastrabelos...
